Bullying Prevention Game - Salad Bowl Charades School Counseling Game

Help students learn how to prevent bullying with this fun charades-style game. I love using "salad bowl" style games with my students as they really seem to keep students engaged. Don't forget that October is Bullying Prevention Month! This game is super easy to set up and I guarantee that your students will be talking about it the rest of the day,
Start by reviewing the included bullying basics handout with students. They will learn key terms related to bullying prevention such as bully, bystander, and target, and review the differences in tattling and reporting. Students will then play the bullying prevention game to review the key terms they learned through description and acting.
Game Concept
The object of the game is to learn about bullying prevention by correctly guessing the most game cards. There are three rounds. In the first round, the players are describing the word in the center of the card to their teammates without saying the word itself. In the second round, the players are describing the same words but this time only using four words (suggested word choices are in the corners of each game card). In the third round, players are acting out the word. The same words are used in each round so the as the rounds get more difficult the players become more familiar with the words in the “salad bowl”. Each round is timed and players are trying to get as many as they can in one minute.
